Our admission process is intentionally thorough because we want to get to know our prospective students and families. Understanding each applicant’s goals, hopes, needs, and reasons for exploring Pinewood is an important part of that process.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and we believe the best way to discover Pinewood is to experience it for yourself. We invite you to visit our campus, meet our community, and learn more about the people, programs, and opportunities that make Pinewood such a special place to learn and grow.

Our admission process is personal and designed to help us get to know each student and family. Admission is selective and considers a variety of factors, including prior school records, recommendations, testing or assessments when applicable, student motivation and behavior, a Shadow Day and/or interview, and available openings. For our youngest applicants, age-appropriate assessments help us better understand developmental and school readiness.

NOTE: Our age cutoff for PK2 through 1st grade is July 1st. PK3 and PK4 students must be fully potty-trained by the first day of school.
