Director of Development

The Director of Development works closely with the head of school, admissions, communications, and the board of trustees. They are responsible for building upon a nascent development program with the potential to cultivate a sustainable culture of philanthropy throughout the school family. The goal of the Director of Development is to design programs of charitable giving that attract diverse donor support to align with the strategic needs of the School.

Digital Communications Specialist

Pinewood Preparatory School (Summerville, SC) seeks a new Digital Communications Specialist. The Digital Communications Specialist will lead content creation and communication with our various school stakeholders. They will work with the administrative team to develop and execute social media strategy and marketing opportunities across multiple platforms.

English Department

Pinewood Preparatory School has an  opening for a full-time High School English Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.The High School English Teacher will teach high school English courses- primarily Intro to literature (Grade 9), British Literature (Grade 10), and World Literature (Grade 12). The candidate for this position will be expected to design and maintain a classroom environment favorable to students’ academic and personal growth and to establish effective rapport with students while maintaining proper classroom management.

Science Department

Pinewood Preparatory School (Summerville, SC) seeks a new High School Science (Chemistry/Physics/Robotics) Teacher .

The High School Science Teacher will teach Chemistry, Physics, and Robotics. The candidate for this position will be expected to design and maintain a classroom environment favorable to students’ academic and personal growth and to establish effective rapport with students while maintaining proper classroom management.

Other Openings

Pinewood is looking for a part-time CDL certified bus driver to drive our 46-passenger bus for field trips and for our athletic teams. This position runs for the entire school year with an average of 20 hours or more per week. Hourly wage is based on experience. Pinewood is seeking a part-time staff member for its Pinewood Plus (Extended Care) program. Pinewood Plus is open Mondays-Fridays, before school, from 6:45 to 8 a.m.  Pinewood Plus is open Mondays-Fridays, after school, from 2 to 6 p.m. Afternoon staff hours run from 2 to 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. Morning and afternoon staff members supervise students while in the Pinewood Plus room and activity areas, walk them to class in the mornings, pick them up from class in the afternoons, and complete other duties as needed.
