| LANGUAGE | ||
| Phonics, vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling and grammar are taught using a variety of methods to give students strong foundations in oral language and literature and to facilitate development of thinking skills. In weekly library visits, children enjoy story telling and learn beginning library skills. Spanish study utilizes games, songs, mime, and art to expand elementary conversation skills. | ||

Specialists guide students in creating, perceiving, and comparing and contrasting art. Students learn to express their opinions about art and to respond thoughtfully to others' opinions. Children attend music classes to sing, play Orff instruments, and learn to read notation. |
