Upper School Curriculum
Overview
The curriculum at PPS is driven by the benchmarks and standards set by a number of nationally recognized organizations that form the “industry standards” for the various disciplines. These standards and benchmarks contain both content and skills.

Additional Standards
In the middle school teachers have long relied on Core Knowledge Curriculum as an enrichment tool for other skills and content.
In the high school the most difficult classes are offered as Advanced Placement classes. We also offer Dual Credit classes in cooperation with Trident Technical College.
High school electives are designed by individual teachers, with national or regional standards in mind as necessary.
