Bringing Parents, Teachers and Students Together
Some of the first words our parents use to describe what they love best about Pinewood are, “the sense of family here.” The PTO’s goal is to nurture and sustain that sense of family by enriching the Pinewood experience for our teachers, staff, students and their families in as many ways possible.
How the PTO Helps Pinewood
Providing volunteer opportunities at school: Volunteering is a great way for parents to get to know the faculty, staff, other families and the numerous special events and extracurricular opportunities at Pinewood.
Fundraising: PTO fundraisers help provide those dollars not always available in the annual budget. Recent purchases include the eco-friendly water fountains and updated kitchen and playground equipment.
Special Events: PTO sponsors several free family events, such as the annual Homecoming Carnival and Family Game Night, to offer a social outlet for students and families.
Grants: PTO grants assist with annual events and fulfill the requests of classroom teachers and student organizations. PTO also awards an Initiative Scholarship for graduating seniors.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation: From Teacher Appreciation Week to monthly breakfasts, to events throughout the year, PTO strives to make Pinewood's faculty and staff feel appreciated.
All Pinewood parents are invited to join PTO in its endeavors. Our goal is for parents to be involved and help provide the best Pinewood experience possible for all!
